Making Fun Wine And Painting Classes Part Of Your Evening Out

By Marissa Velazquez

People, all over the country, are being more creative in a couple of ways. They are doing something other than moving from one tavern to the next bar on their nights out. They have found the fun wine and painting classes that are springing up in many of those same bars and in private homes. These have helped them exercise their inner artist to great effect.

Party goers have a good time meeting people and they do not have to worry about hangovers most of the time. Networking is easy as the friendly atmosphere and a competitive nature can result in the creativity a lot of people are looking for. They learn a little and drink a little and everyone enjoys doing something they have not done in a while or never before.

Knowing what is involved will help you gain a better perspective on what happens at one of these parties. The bar or person putting the class on will provide all of the painting supplies. The canvasses, easels, paints, brushes and cleaning supplies will all be made available. The wine and, occasionally, beer and soft drinks will be on hand as well. The entry price will cover all of this.

What makes it the enjoyable evening that it is will be the local artist hired for the party. Each one will have their own perspective on art and their own specific genre they practice. The evening is run by them as they work with each of the attendees to paint what everyone else is painting. Many people set up friendly competitions this way.

The range of topics can be from realistic depictions of people, scenes or still life to surrealistic concepts and anywhere in between. It depends on the artist and what they are into. Before signing up for a class it would be appropriate to inquire as to what artist is going to be there and what they like. The artist will introduce themselves, their subject and talk about some basics and then everyone will get down to the business of art.

There will be many different interests of the people attending as well. Some will be there, with others, to drink and play around at smearing a canvas with paint. Still others will really be interested in pursuing this type of hobby. Others will simply want to meet and greet with like minded people and just enjoy themselves.

These events are advertised in the bars or taverns that host them. There are several websites that also follow them and will have a more complete list of them around the country. Others will list those that are local and all of them will allow you to read about the artist for a particular evening and the subject being painted. This will allow the interested party to know how to schedule.

Being able to go somewhere and have a few drinks and be creative has been proven to be a big draw. Getting a few friends together and going to one of the fun wine and painting classes will help all of your group to get closer to each other. The opportunity to pick up a few others to join your group is also a possibility.
